Uncertain Clarity

What’s the point in meeting someone

Who isn’t interested

Or is reluctant

To sit beside or talk over a meal

And yet, the mind is industrious

that never stops weaving

Possibilities and promises

Like a marketing guy

Who knows how to pitch

And knows how to hit

When the iron is hot

It has made me go to a station

Even when I knew that the train has left

It makes me knock the doors

Even when I see big locks in front

but I obey his orders

quite often I do

Because It makes me believe

There might be an ember in the ashes

And to honor the present moment

To deny the worries of tomorrow

I stay faithful to the uncertain clarity

Impulsive Sin

On a mid-February afternoon

I sat beside the Bangpakong

as it flowed in style

like a model on the ramp

The breeze was nice and cool

But towards which direction the river flowed?

That was hard to tell

I was trying to figure that out

While my eyes caught a yellow flower

that wind brought near my feet

It was dry but still bright

With its cheek on the warm concrete

i looked up towards the sky

The moon was there

dull yet visible

Like a half bitten cookie

Yet beautiful

And then the wind got rebellious

As it caressed my face and ruffled my hair

I didn’t mind that excesses though

But with the next swirl

It tore apart that little yellow flower

And blew its petals in the air

Hither thither

A beauty reduced to pieces

And bright yellow dust

It made me sad – not only for the flower

and I knew I can’t but I wished I could ask the wind

What did you do to the flower?

Why did you do that to the flower?

Void

The void is there

eyes haven’t seen it

yet i can feel it

senses have fathomed it

and it has to exist

it can’t be filled

as the mortals have pushed their souls

back to the wall

and now their emotions

are not their’s anymore

they follow what they are fed by the feeds

and they only feel touched

when they are given teddy bears

Ride your bike

bikee

To the eyes that shine

Even when there isn’t any hope ahead

To the eyes that smile

When there isn’t something amusing

A never ending childhood

Is locked in those eyes

Kudos to those who dare to rejoice

In the times of despair

Kudos to those who are stronger than sadness

Whatever the odds

They ride their bikes against the wind

And their hair dance behind their back

Shared domain

The sky isn’t mine

neither the birds that traverse its vastness

with their beautiful wings

That road isn’t mine

which i push under my feet

to reach the room where i live

That car can’t be mine

some company has made it for anyone who’ll pay for it

so do the chocolates and the pizzas that i cherish

The air

that fills my lungs

isn’t mine either

as i just found myself breathing in this world one day

i didn’t bring anything with me

and i won’t take anything from here

not even the words

so what exactly is mine except the way i feel?

probably the little desires that bubble in my restless heart?

nothing else indeed

as somehow i share everything with others

moon

The clouds say that the moon was gloomy

while they passed him by on the sky tonight

missing a dear star

that was an apple of his eye

and who broke into pieces

with a boom last night

Moon wasn’t crying but his heartbeats were uneven

he looked more pale

and his sadness started to spread in the surrounding

so all of a sudden his friends rushed

to cajole his heart

like the trained troupes

dancing and diving

and chanting the slogans of merriment

to distract him from his loss

a little star who loved moon very much

came closer and whispered in his big big ears

what if its not the same as yesterday

what if it doesn’t seem right to you

everything happens for a reason

everything is right in its own way

the moon heard these words from one ear

pondered, smiled for the cute little star

and out those words flew from the second ear

into the vast milieu

leaving a smile on the moon’s lips

a smile for all those who cared for him

but at that time a few scars appeared

on his pink pink heart

to stay there forever

This world shall pass

and all that goes on here shall pass too

the little boys of today

will become grey haired tomorrow

the flowers that adorn the garden today

will perish too

the caravans shall pass

as they ain’t meant to stay

everything that exists

and all that we see

is intoxicated with the wine of change

but a lover’s heart never changes

although the sea reaches the sands everyday

to erase the footsteps of those who part their ways

but the tides don’t touch

the impressions made on the heart

the way someone makes you feel

stays in your memory till the last sigh

while the body gets busy with the daily chores

the heart spends its days similarly

remembering the love every moment

singing the songs

and dreaming for unison

Where should i go

when the city turns into a ghost town

when music becomes noise for the ears

tongue loses the taste

and eyes cease to appreciate the beauty

in such times – to find some solace

should i be the dust

and chase the passing cars like stray dogs

should i be the leaf of a willow in autumn

shaking with the fear of separation

or should i wait for the moon to rise from west

cling to its silver beams

and swing my mortal self out

to the other side of the blue lake

Clouds got together

to shower upon the city

rain poured down the sky

and brightened the obscure graffiti

yet hearts remained in dust

of complicated grudges

as the rain didn’t pour in there

i must say – what a pity

Love was on the loose

eyes wandered around

palms empty and open

after loosing what was found

ears became more sensitive

to catch your faintest sound

but the night grew darker

without any sign of you

the smiles got scattered

that i saved for you

and the lyrics flew out of window

that i wrote for you

forestas.jpg

The forests implore

with frightened eyes

Save us! before we vanish

Wake up! or we’ll die

The ornaments of mother earth – they adorn the milieu with green

The mighty lungs of nature – they keep the air clean

The damsels that wink at the pacing clouds – to make them wash our cities

The beautiful forests – they are home to numerous species

They kept serving us eagerly

We kept them under the knife

And now their heart is sinking

As we kept attacking their life

They urge our mercy – They need our attention

They cared us for ages – They truly deserve redemption

O dear humans! Love your forests

O dear humans! Save them today

Help them grow – help them nurture

Manage them well and preserve the future
