Ursa Major, commonly known as “The Great Bear” is a famous constellation. People are using it to locate north pole since ages.
Alkaid, Mizar, Alioth, Megrez, phecda, Merak and Dubhe are the seven stars which form this constellation.

The line joining Merak and Dubhe extends towards the Polaris, (North star) the brightest star in Constellation; Ursa minor.
