Beauty lured the young heart
and trapped the careless prey
the slayed, danced with joy
oblivious of the way
eyes recalled at night
the glimpse caught at day
heart; wept and sobbed
and madly sought for more
like this days passed
but for every spring there is autumn
and none can deter the change
tempting flowers of previous morning
taste the doom today
then there came a time
when Beauty faded away
and for lover’s surprise
so did the Love

there seems to be a bit too much sadness in this poem. get rid of it(!) just love bravely and passionately as your picture
your “a bit too much” made me smile
Well, I like it, but it is very sad! It reminds me of this poem by yeats-A Prayer For My Daughter- in which he talks of how beauty lead him astray.
I haven’t read that poem but now i will. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your valued thoughts
